Yale NewHaven Health's Westerly Hospital seeks an experienced nurse to provide personalized, goal-directed care under the nurse manager, utilizing the nursing process and primary nursing principles.

The role emphasizes assessment, patient-centered care, adherence to hospital policies, education of staff, and collaboration with the care team to ensure compassionate, professional service to every patient and family.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, telemetry experience preferred.
• Current state registration. BLS required ACLS (Optional) PALS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care.
• Adhere to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
• Act as a clinical resource and role model.
• Actively participate in training and educational activities for other staff members.
• Demonstrate a high level of respect, dignity, compassion and professionalism for all customers.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

EXPERIENCE

Medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, telemetry experience preferred.
