Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Westerly area to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care under the nurse manager's direction. You will apply the nursing process and primary nursing principles per department policies.
Responsibilities include ongoing patient assessment, planning and implementing care, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring compliance with hospital standards. BLS is required; ACLS optional; PALS within one year of hire.

Under the direction of the nurse manager, manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing, in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, telemetry experience preferred.
LICENSURE
Valid State of Rhode Island Registered Nurse License, BLS required. ACLS (Optional). PALS within one year of hire
SPECIAL SKILLS
Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing, knowledge, and skills. Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately. Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals. Basic computer knowledge is preferred. Strong ability to communicate and interact professionally in busy environment.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Bending, carrying items up to 50 pounds, sitting/on phone for longer periods of time. Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
