Job summary

Journey Healthcare in Morgantown, IN is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated care team. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a long-term care setting, guiding licensed and certified staff to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree, an active RN license, and CPR certification, with prior long-term care experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
• Ensures policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifies physician and family, and documents accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical records and carries out orders as written.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
