Job summary

Journey in Morgantown, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our care team. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care under state and federal guidelines, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a community-focused setting.

You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensure policies are followed, and participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers. A Nursing degree and active RN license are required, with CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and CNAs in compliance with regulations and facility policies.
• Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed by nursing staff.
• Participate in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assess changes in residents' status and communicate with physicians and families, documenting accordingly.
• Transcribe physician orders to medical records and carry out orders as written.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.

Required Qualifications
