Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse Manager for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in a full-time, on-site capacity. The role requires leadership to coordinate care, ensure compliance, and continually improve patient experience and outcomes.

The RN Manager will oversee admissions/discharges, drive evidence-based practices, and mentor staff while partnering across departments to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a demanding NICU environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSN required.
• Active RN license in TX or compact license with TX eligibility.
• Minimum 2+ years in supervisory role in an acute care setting.

Registered Nurse Manager candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• You will support efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. Ensure a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
• You will support the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
• You will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• You will ensure equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.

Registered Nurse Manager candidates for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• BSN REQUIRED
• Min 3-5+ year experience in healthcare
• Min 2+ year in supervisory role in an acute care setting
• Specialty Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation- FT/PT/PRN colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas must: apply for Texas RN license within 60 days from hire / obtain current TX RN license within 6 months of application for TX RN license
• BLS
• ACLS preferred
• L&D: NRP preferred FHM preferred RNC-OB preferred
