Kansas Medical Center in Andover, KS is seeking an ICU Manager to lead a dynamic ICU team. The role combines bedside care with administrative oversight, including staff selection, orientation, education, and competency evaluations.

The ICU Manager will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and supervise dedicated ICU staff, guiding clinical excellence and interdepartmental collaboration within a physician-owned 58-bed hospital.

Qualifications

• RN license in Kansas is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred on hire or after hire.

Responsibilities

• Time is split between bedside and management tasks to manage day-to-day ICU operations and the unit's vision.
• Staff recruitment, orientation, education, and competency evaluations; reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and supervises ICU staff.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and Registered Nurse License Issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred upon hire, could be obtained after hire.
