Job summary

Kansas Medical Center is seeking a 2nd shift Clinical Coordinator to orchestrate hospital-wide patient flow and staffing across departments. The role will manage admissions, discharges, and transfers, adjusting nursing assignments based on unit acuity and sick calls.

Some weekend and holiday nights may be required. Qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and RN license, with BLS/ACLS and additional certifications such as PALS, TNCC, Conscious Sedation, and NIH

Description

We are adding a 2 nd Shift Clinical Coordinator to orchestrate hospital-wide patient flow, manage staffing ratios across all departments, and serve as a resource for night shift staff.

Facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers; adjust nursing staff assignments, reallocate personnel based on unit acuity, manage sick calls and staffing shortages; assist bedside staff, equipment failures, interdepartmental bottlenecks. Assist with bedside nursing as needed.

May include some weekend and holiday nights.

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and Registered Nurse License issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing is required. BLS and ACLS certification required. Additional certifications: PALS, TNCC, Conscious Sedation, and NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
