Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the LTAC Department at the Fort Worth facility. This full-time position requires an Associate degree in nursing and current RN licensure with BCLS and ACLS preferred within 90 days of hire.

The unit features a low nurse-to-patient ratio and a focus on complex, multi-system cases with ventilator-dependent and trauma patients. Strong leadership and opportunities for growth are highlighted, with self-scheduling and a supportive team

Qualifications

• RN licensure (current) required or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing on hire.
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS certification preferred within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.
