Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse for LTAC in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires a nursing degree, RN licensure, and excellence in critical care delivery across long-term acute care settings.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning care, implementing interventions, and maintaining cross-shift continuity while coordinating patient transfers. BSN preferred with opportunities for growth within a supportive nursing leadership structure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• BCLS certification prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire preferred.
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse required or completion of an RN residency program.
• LTAC, Critical care or Progressive Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
