Job summary

Missouri Veterans Home-Warrensburg seeks a PRN Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to our veterans. Join a mission-driven team dedicated to quality care on every shift.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, implementing care plans, administering medications, documenting in EMR, and coordinating with physicians. Missouri licensure in good standing or recent graduate status qualifies you for this flexible, on-call role.

Qualifications

• Missouri RN or LPN licensure in good standing.
• Graduate nurse may practice until licensure results or 90 days after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Assess, organize, and plan staff duties on assigned shift on assigned unit
• Assess needs of Veterans and ensures services are consistent with needs
• Implement Veteran MDS and care plan according to healthcare protocol
• Make rounds with the physician, inform of status of patients and receive instructions for care and treatment
• Transcribe and implement physician’s orders accurately
• Document accurately all nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations in electronic medical record (EMR)
• Give medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician accurately with follow-up observations
• Assist Veteran with various needs such as transferring, positioning, transporting, feeding, promoting elimination, toileting, bathing and showering, etc.
• Assist Veteran upon admission and/or discharge
• Participate in orientation of unit staff

LPN Hourly Pay: $22.44

RN Hourly Pay: $33.65

EXAMPLES OF WORK

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Missouri, in good standing, or
• A recent graduate of an accredited nursing program may practice as a graduate nurse until results of first licensure examination are received or until 90 days after graduation, whichever occurs first, as allowed by the Missouri Board of Nursing
