Job description

Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Puyallup Post Acute | $45-$55hr

Join a skilled nursing team where your clinical judgment and leadership make a daily difference in residents' lives. We're hiring a Nurse to deliver hands-on care, guide our nursing team, and help residents heal and thrive in a supportive, resident-centered environment.

What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments at admission and throughout each resident's stay
  • Build and update individualized care plans alongside our interdisciplinary team
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, tube feedings, wound care, and other prescribed treatments
  • Monitor residents closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
  • Supervise and delegate to LPNs and CNAs
  • Keep documentation accurate and timely in our EMR
  • Communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and families as a trusted care partner
  • Take part in care conferences and discharge planning
  • Uphold CMS guidelines and infection control standards
  • Support quality assurance and performance improvement efforts
  • Educate and reassure residents and their families
Why Work Here
  • Lead a team of LPNs and CNAs with real autonomy in resident care decisions
  • Work in a facility that blends short-term rehab and long-term care, so no two days look the same
  • Be part of an interdisciplinary team that values your clinical voice in care conferences and discharge planning
What You'll Need
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Washington
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • 1 year of nursing experience preferred; long-term care or skilled nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Solid grasp of geriatric nursing and rehabilitative care principles
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Is this role right for you?

If you're a nurse who wants more clinical ownership than a hospital floor typically allows and the chance to really know your residents — this SNF setting offers that. Expect a fast-paced environment (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and quick response in emergencies), balanced by a genuinely collaborative care team.

Puyallup Post Acute is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
