Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Memphis seeks an experienced RN to provide direct nursing care, supervise nursing staff, and coordinate resident care plans. The role emphasizes medication administration, ADLs support, and adherence to regulatory standards.

You will document meticulously, monitor resident status, and participate in QA activities and education to uphold high-quality outcomes. A strong emphasis on teamwork and compliant practice per facility policies.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role, preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory or charge nurse role, preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong clinical observation, medication administration, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including medication administration, wound care, and skilled nursing procedures.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.
• Supervise and direct nursing assistants and medication aides during the assigned shift in accordance with facility policies and regulations, as applicable.
• Monitor and observe residents’ physical and emotional status; notify the attending physician and responsible party of any change in condition.
• Develop, implement, and review individualized resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation per facility policy and procedure.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges according to established procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, staff education, and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.
