Job summary

Majestic Care of Southport seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team and provide skilled nursing on an assigned unit. You will supervise CNAs, administer medications, and implement physician orders to deliver quality resident care.

The role requires an active Indiana RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing school, and CPR certification. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered as part of our commitment to attracting top talent.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
