The Labor and Delivery nurse at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO cares for women and neonates during labor and delivery, offering family-centered nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. Eligible candidates will hold Missouri RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within one year, and NRP within one year.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Missouri (active)
• BLS within 90 days of start
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• NRP within 1 year of hire

They are responsible for assisting, supporting, and educating families throughout the birth process. The Labor and Delivery nurse provides comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and neonates during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of delivery. The Labor and Delivery nurse must be able to recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize the situation and communicate with the patient, family, and appropriate physicians and specialists.Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience Preferred: Previous nursing experience Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills. Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
