CoxHealth's Labor and Delivery unit is seeking a dedicated nurse to care for mothers and newborns during labor and delivery. You will educate families, monitor patients, and respond rapidly to complications in a collaborative environment.

The role requires MO RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NRP within specified timelines. Night shifts with competitive pay and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN-approved program.
• Active MO RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
• NRP certification required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for women and neonates during labor and childbirth.
• Assist, support and educate families throughout the birth process.
• Recognize complications and stabilize; communicate with patient, family and physicians.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

They are responsible for assisting, supporting, and educating families throughout the birth process. The Labor and Delivery nurse provides comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and neonates during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of delivery. The Labor and Delivery nurse must be able to recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize the situation and communicate with the patient, family, and appropriate physicians and specialists.Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience Preferred: Previous nursing experience Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
