Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, MO is seeking a Labor and Delivery nurse to care for women and neonates during labor and childbirth. You will assist, support, and educate families throughout the birth process, delivering comprehensive nursing care through antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages.

The role requires RN licensure in Missouri, BLS/ACLS/NRP compliance timelines, and strong communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

They are responsible for assisting, supporting, and educating families throughout the birth process. The Labor and Delivery nurse provides comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and neonates during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages of delivery. The Labor and Delivery nurse must be able to recognize complications and act quickly to stabilize the situation and communicate with the patient, family, and appropriate physicians and specialists.Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience Preferred: Previous nursing experience Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
