Job summary

IntelliResume is seeking a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, NYS RN license, and BLS certification, with an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred). Location: Staten Island, NY; full-time on-site position at Northwell Health.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of professional nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current New York State RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Identify actual/potential patient problems.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities to achieve expected outcomes.
