Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of professional nursing experience in antepartum or related specialty.
• Current New York RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess GI, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurologic health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
• Assess pain level and pain management strategies.
• Communicate and document patient’s health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes and prioritize care.

What You'll Do

• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities to achieve expected outcomes.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
  • BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
