Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in New York. The role covers delivery assistance, postpartum care, and family support during the birthing process.

The position requires NY RN licensure, ACLS/BLS/NRP/EFM certifications, and at least 2 years in Labor and Delivery with EPIC charting proficiency. Shifts include day and night options, with every-other weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Active New York RN license (single state; not compact).
• Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, EFM, and NRP.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Prior experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections.
• Provide recovery care for C-section patients.
• Administer medications, including Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin.
• Perform fetal monitoring with external fetal monitoring (EFM).
• Provide postpartum care including fundus, lochia, and perineum management.
• Support breastfeeding and newborn security processes.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for patient documentation.

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts available: Day 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) and Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend requirement includes working every other weekend.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant patients at various stages of pregnancy, assist in deliveries, and care for postpartum patients. This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing support to families during the birthing process.

Responsibilities
