Novant Health is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Schedule is 7P-7A, full-time (36 hours) with weekend and holiday rotation; two call shifts every six weeks.

You will provide comprehensive nursing care during labor and delivery, monitor maternal and fetal status, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and adhere to hospital policies. RN licensure in the state is required; BSN preferred; one year of experience is preferred.

Qualificações

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, immediate recovery.
• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor using approved monitoring equipment and nursing assessment technique.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal conditions, escalating concerns to providers as needed.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Assist providers during vaginal & caesarean deliveries and stabilize mother and newborn immediately following birth.

What We Offer

• Schedule: 7P-7A, Night Shift, Full-time (36 hours), weekend & holiday rotation required. This will be discussed further during interview. Two call shifts required per 6 week time tract.

• Location: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston-Salem, NC
• Unit Information: 21 labor rooms, OB ED, 2 Operating Rooms.
• Requirements: Either previous L&D or women's health experience is preferred.

What You’ll Do

In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
