ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Nurse, you will be part of our amazing team and mission of helping those who are seeking recovery. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Experience in substance abuse or behavioral health preferred but not required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

State-registered Practical Nursing license/Registered Nurse required.

REQUIRED LICENSE

LPN or RN required. CPR required.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS

• Demonstrated requisite education and work experience consistent with and necessary to carry out the Mission and leadership philosophy of Turning Point.
• Must possess sound clinical skills, effective interpersonal skills, technical and computer skills, and excellent written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following functions describe the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all of these duties or may perform additional, related duties not listed here.

• Assess the physiological and behavioral health status of the patient.
• Complete medical screening to see if the client/patient is appropriate for admission.
• Complete CIWA/COWS assessments as ordered per NP.
• Administer detox medications as ordered and assess effectiveness.
• Communicate with other staff about patients' status both mentally and physically.
• Assist the client/patient in understanding the disease of addiction and the importance of treatment and continued support.
• Supervisory role.
