Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Nurse on the night shift, you will be part of our dedicated team committed to helping those seeking recovery. You will support and implement effective techniques that make a difference in the lives of patients, their families, and communities. At Turning Point SOC, we work together as a team to provide the care and resources our patients need to succeed.

Required Experience:

Experience in substance abuse or behavioral health is preferred but not required.

Required Education:

State-registered Practical Nursing license or Registered Nurse license is required.

Required License:

LPN or RN license required.

Certifications:

CPR certification required.

Prerequisite Skills:

• Demonstrated education and work experience consistent with the mission and leadership philosophy of Turning Point.
• Sound clinical skills, effective interpersonal skills, technical and computer skills, and excellent written communication skills.

Non-Exempt

Reports To:

Clinical Supervisor

Essential Functions:

The following duties are essential for this role. Individuals may not perform all duties or may perform additional related duties:

• Assess the physiological and behavioral health status of patients.
• Complete medical screenings to determine patient eligibility for admission.
• Perform CIWA/COWS assessments as ordered by NP.
• Administer detox medications and assess their effectiveness.
• Communicate patient status with staff regarding mental and physical health.
• Assist patients in understanding addiction and the importance of treatment and support.
• Supervisory responsibilities.
