Job summary

Holy Cross Health, part of Trinity Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Joint & Spine Unit in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves patient education and delivering high-quality care within a multidisciplinary team.

Shift options include 7pm–7am or 7am–7pm on a rotating schedule. BSN preferred, Maryland RN license required, with BLS certification and acute care experience valued.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred or agreement to obtain within specified time if not present at hire.
• Current RN license in Maryland or Compact state.
• BLS certification.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Competency with electronic patient management systems.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in acute care; rehab/surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare team.
• Provide education to post-surgical Joint & Spine patients.
• Interface with OT/PT/Case Management to enhance patient experience and transitions.
• Collaborate with patients on pain management.
