Job summary

HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology within our Radiology department. The role requires current Colorado RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS, with a preference for 2+ years in critical care or related areas.

The IR RN will manage daily operations, ensure patient safety, and support education and quality initiatives across the imaging services. Strong prioritization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
  • AHA or ARC BLS certification.
  • AHA or ARC ACLS certification (RN only).
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable.
  • 2 years critical care experience in a specialty unit (CC, ED, PACU, Radiology) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of Interventional Radiology.
  • Oversee supply/inventory management for the IR area.
  • Provide staff performance evaluations and act as an educational resource to radiology staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of HCA Health ONE Mountain Ridge of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. This position is and RN who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for his/her patients. The delivery of care is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient Under the direction of the Radiology Director, manages daily operations of Interventional Radiology. This position may rotate to other areas other than his/her normally assigned service area/s, and will perform those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The RN delegates duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC. The IR Supervisor displays positive support for NSMC as well as the entire HealthONE organization. The IR Supervisor cares for patients from adolescent to geriatric. Serves as the educator for Imaging services and participates on committees.

Responsible for supply/inventory management. Responsible for staff performance and evaluations. Responsible for Interventional Radiology QC and PI data. Serves as an educational resource to all radiology staff and hospital departments. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. AHA or ARC BLS certification. AHA or ARC ACLS certification (RN only)

B. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable.

C. Experience: 2 years critical care experience in specialty unit preferred (Critical Care, Emergency Department, PACU, Radiology).

D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. The DI RN must be able to function independently, be multi-task oriented, and show excellent prioritizing skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
