Job summary

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Cardiac Catheterization. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with physicians and imaging staff to support high-quality cardiac procedures.

This role requires a Nevada RN license, BLS, ACLS, and usually 10-hour shifts with on-call duties. Cross-training to Cath Lab is available as part of a collaborative care team, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Nevada RN license and BLS CPR.
• ACLS certification required; CCRN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an acute care facility.
• 10hrs Shifts and On-Call Shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in Cardiac Catheterization.
• Supervise assigned personnel and collaborate with physicians and departments.
• Provide nursing skills to Medical Imaging Specialists for cardiac procedures.
• Complete a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment.
• Adhere to department policies and standards of care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse as a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients. Meets Standards of Care and Standards of Practice. Supervises assigned personnel. Promotes collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments. • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served
• Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to assess patient requirements relative to his/her age specific needs
• Provides care needed as described in department policies and procedure
• Completes a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment
• Provide nursing skills to Medical Imaging Specialists including but not limited to special procedures, cardiac catheterization, and stress cardiology studies

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Basic knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and hemodynamics
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada required and current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified ACLS
• Certified CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 year's experience in an acute care facility
• 10hrs Shifts
• "On-Call" Shifts required
• Will cross train to Cath Lab as they work collaboratively
