Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Diagnostic Interventional Lab. You will use therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, implement and direct care using the nursing process, and evaluate outcomes for diverse patient populations.

This role supports the Mission and values of the organization and participates in diagnostic imaging initiatives. Candidates should be within 30 minutes of the facility, able to take call, and be prepared for mixed shift coverage

Qualifications

• ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN (Registered Nurse) licensure.
• Associate Degree is required.
• No Travel Required.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Use therapeutic communication in daily practice
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual patients
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process
• Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choices regarding health care
• Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver
• Participate in Diagnostic Imaging specific initiatives and process improvement
• Promote a supportive Diagnostic Imaging environment
• Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistant, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses and/or nurse externs
• Maintain high quality (age specific) care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, as assigned
• Support the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization

This position does take call. Candidates need to live within 30 minutes of the facility.
