Job summary

Medical City Arlington in Arlington, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab to deliver high quality nursing care across the Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Radiology, Neuro Intervention and EP Lab. You will apply the nursing process, maintain accountability for clinical decisions, and collaborate with managers, physicians and staff to improve patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with an associate or bachelor’s degree, and will obtain ACLS within 6 months

Qualifications

• RN license required
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, Neuro Intervention and EP Lab.
• Perform nursing assessment, develop care plans, implement treatments and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer treatments/medications within scope and coordinate care with Lab management, physicians and staff.
• Access controlled drug/storage areas following orientation and policies.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Delivers professional nursing care to all patients presenting to the Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Radiology, Neuro Intervention and EP Lab; follows standard of care utilizing Nursing process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions.

• Responsible for the delivery of nursing care for all patients coming to the Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Radiology Neuro Intervention and EP Lab


• Performs nursing assessment/diagnosis/care plan/implementation of treatment/evaluation of treatment for all patients


• Administers treatment/medication/procedures within scope of practice; participates in coordination of care with Cardiac Cath Lab Management, departmental staff, physicians and ancillary services.


• Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas after completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform the assigned duties.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date


• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
