Job summary

Medical City Arlington seeks a Registered Nurse to support the Diagnostic Interventional Lab. Mixed shifts with rotating weekends; on-call required and candidates must live within 30 minutes of the facility.

Join a large network of nurses within a hospital recognized for high patient outcomes. You will provide direct patient care in imaging settings, maintain a safe environment, and participate in imaging initiatives and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RNLicensed as Registered Nurse; Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act with emphasis on Diagnostic Imaging.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver and supervise new staff.
• Participate in Diagnostic Imaging initiatives and process improvement.
• Provide care for infants to geriatric patients.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the diagnostic Imaging patient.

• Use therapeutic communication in daily practice
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual patients
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing process
• Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choices regarding health care
• Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver
• Participate in Diagnostic Imaging specific initiatives and process improvement
• Promote a supportive Diagnostic Imaging environment
• Provide supervision of new employees, patient care assistant, vocational nurses, nurse technicians, student nurses and/or nurse externs
• Maintain high quality (age specific) care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, as assigned
• Support the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
