Job summary

Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Medical Care Unit/SICU. This full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) includes rotating weekends and a 36-hour work week. You will provide patient-centered nursing care and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an IL nursing license, have NLN-accredited training, and hold BLS/CPR certification; CNA experience is a plus for new grads. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

• BLS/CPR certification required
• Prior nursing experience or CNA experience for new grads preferred

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse, Intermediate Medical Care Unit/SICU
• Location: Skokie Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, (7pm-7:30am) Night shift with Rotating Weekends.
• Hours: 36
• Required Travel: N/A

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

What you will need:

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
• Experience: Prior nursing or if new graduate nurse, CNA experience preferred
