Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse at Skokie Hospital to provide direct patient care across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations during the perioperative period. The nurse will advocate for patients, assess safety, and work with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedures.

Qualifications include RN licensure in Illinois, CPR/BLS, BSN preferred, and 2+ years perioperative experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• IL RN License and CPR BLS required (American Heart Association).
• 2 yrs RN perioperative experience preferred.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure safety in the surgical environment.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate procedures.
• May orient new staff and assist in educational programs and equipment management.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

• Hours: 6a to 3p M-F with call requirements

What you will do:

The Perioperative Registered nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The perioperative nurse functions as patient advocate. He/she assesses the surgical environment for potential patient safety concerns and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to facilitate the completion of the surgical procedure. The Perioperative Registered nurse may assume responsibility for the orientation of new staff members, educational programs, andsecuring and maintaining supplies and equipment necessary for the delivery of care.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 2 yrs RN experience in perioperative care - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
