Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Registered Nurse in New Jersey. The RN will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with patients and care teams, and ensure safe administration of medications using modern bar-scanning and documentation tools.

Responsibilities include documenting assessments and plans at the point of care, patient/family education, and coordinating safe discharge planning to ensure continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• BSN in progress or willing to obtain within 3 years of hire.
• Telemetry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per current evidence-based policies to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and care team about status, plans, and progress.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations at the point of care.
• Educate patients and families to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
• Coordinate discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
