Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team in New Jersey. The role emphasizes planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while coordinating with physicians and support services to ensure safe transitions.

The RN will engage in ongoing education, maintain licensure, and participate in certification programs as eligible.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid Registered Nurse license to work at the assigned HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify education needs of patient/family based on age, disease, and learning differences.
• Develop and coordinate a plan of care that is patient/family focused and evidence-based.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the health care team.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and care team about status and treatments.
