Job summary

Pampa Regional Medical Center in Pampa, TX seeks an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN will monitor vital signs, administer IV fluids, and communicate with the medical team to adjust care plans.

12-hour shifts, days and nights available, and a sign-on bonus is offered. We value experience in ICU/ER/ED or other critical care areas and support professional development with benefits and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions.
• Use advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters.
• Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions.
• Manage life-support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided.
• Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients.

Overview

We are seeking a n ICU Registered Nurse , also referred to as an ICU RN , Intensive Care Nurse or Intensive Care Unit RN. The Intensive Care RN (ICU RN) will be responsible for providing intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN will have advanced skills in critical care settings, make quick decision s , and will be compassionate to all patient s . An ICU RN monitors vital signs, blood oxygen levels, administer IV Fluids, and communicates effectively to the medical team to modify care plans accordingly.
