Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, maintain accountability for the care of assigned patients, and coordinate with other departments. You will evaluate the overall effectiveness of care and uphold patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires an RN license in the hiring state (or a compact license) and a nursing degree (AD, Diploma, or BSN).

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license in the hiring state or a compact license.
• Education must be a nursing degree (AD/Diploma/BSN).
• Basic Life Support certification or course completion within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.
• Escalates and documents care decisions per Mercy Service Standards.
