Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Current RN license and meeting state board requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
• Certifications may be required based on unit: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, C-PHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, and others.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain accountability.
• Evaluates overall care effectiveness provided by direct care givers and coordinates with departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality; performs duties aligned with Mercy mission and standards.
