Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. The role requires maintaining a current RN license in the hiring state (or compact) and meeting unit-specific certification requirements.

Candidates should demonstrate ability to coordinate patient care alongside other departments, protect patient confidentiality, and uphold Mercy Service Standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license must be current in hiring state/compact licensure and maintained per state boards.
• Basic Life Support certification or course completed within 30 days of hire.
• One or more of the following certifications may be required: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains professional accountability for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information; performs duties consistent with Mercy mission and standards.
