Job summary

Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for 4 South Renal to work nights at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. The position is 72 hours per pay period, 7p-7:30a, full-time with 0.9 FTE and new grads are welcome.

The RN will perform nursing processes, ensure patient safety, and document care while adhering to standards of care and hospital policies. Unit work includes diabetes, renal failure, pneumonia and related conditions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Indiana RN licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS certification as required in specialty areas.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, communicate and document the nursing process.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Follow current standards of care and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate values of dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for 4 South Renal to work nights at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

4 South Renal performs therapeutic treatments and cares for patients with various diseases, diagnosis, or conditions which include but are not limited to: Diabetes, renal failure, pneumonia, electrolyte imbalance, CVA, cardiovascular-ASHD, CHF, Hypertension, COPD, Fever, Dehydration, Gastrointestinal conditions, Wound infection, and general surgical cases.

Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.
• Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Community Healthcare System policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy ofPHby providing the highest quality care.
• Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• BSN preferred.
• Obtains and maintains current certification (ACLS) as required in specialty areas (Critical Care).
• Obtains and maintains current CPR.
