Job summary

Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Nursing Float to work days or nights at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. You will implement, direct, communicate and document the nursing process while maintaining patient safety and high standards of care.

Ideal candidates have IMCU experience, Indiana RN licensure, and BSN is preferred with ACLS and CPR certifications current to support the hospital's mission and quality care goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed as an RN in Indiana.
• 2 years of IMCU nursing experience required.
• BSN preferred and ACLS/CPR certifications maintained.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, communicate and document the nursing process.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Practice per standards of care, Nurse Practice Act, and organizational policies.
• Support community needs and uphold the values of Powers Health.

Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.
• Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy ofCHSby providing the highest quality care.
• Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 2 years of IMCU nursing required.
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• BSN preferred.
• Obtains and maintains current certification (ACLS) as required in specialty areas (Critical Care).
• Obtains and maintains current CPR.
