The Hematology/Oncology Care Unit (HCU) includes both inpatient and outpatient services for hematology, oncology, and blood and marrow transplant patients. The 32-bed inpatient unit admits children of all ages with various hematological and oncological needs, including newly diagnosed diseases, chemotherapy, sickle cell disease, pain crises, and more.
Minimum Education: Associate's Degree ASN (Required); Bachelor's Degree BSN (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience: 1 year RN experience (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge: Successful completion of hospital and nursing orientation; current knowledge of specialty area changes
Required Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse in District of Columbia; CPR certification
