Description

The 7 East Medical Care Unit is an exciting, innovative, dynamic, fast-paced, 50-bed, acute care unit, and the first-choice unit for patients with a variety of medical care needs. 7 East is recognized for its teamwork and multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of quality patient care. We continuously reflect on our practices, staff development, and patient outcomes to ensure high-quality, safe patient care. All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, Children's National Policies and Procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. Children's National supports RN relationships within the community, especially those related to community health and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: BSN from an approved nursing school (preferred)
  • Minimum Work Experience: 1 year RN experience (required)
  • Skills/Knowledge: Successful completion of hospital and nursing orientation at Children’s National; current knowledge of specialty area updates
  • Licenses and Certifications: RN license in DC, Maryland, or Virginia; CPR certification

Location & Schedule

Primary Location: District of Columbia-Washington at CN Hospital, 111 Michigan Avenue NW, Washington, 20010

Position Status: Regular, Full-Time, Rotating shifts, including every other weekend

Additional Information

Salary Range: $68,806.40 - $125,174.40
