Job summary

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift role (7:00pm–7:00am) involves alternating weekends and provides care across all acuity levels in a fast-paced environment with strong collaboration among physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, BCLS, ACLS, and ER experience; CPI, NRP/PALS/ENPC/TNCC are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible for licensure in TX.
• BCLS and ACLS required prior to independent patient care.
• CPI training maintained annually.
• NRP/ PALS/ ENPC/ TNCC certifications preferred.
• RN residency or 1+ year ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient needs across safety and psychosocial domains.
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in ED.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in shared decision making and professional growth.
• Demonstrate teamwork and maintain confidentiality.

Work hours: Full time 36 hours a week, . 7:00pm - 7:00am alternating weekends

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred
• 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required
• 2 years of ER experience is strongly preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 days is requiredAnd
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days is required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days is required Or
• ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course 6 Months is required
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 12 months is required
