Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing assessments, care planning, and patient education across all ages. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatments and support families.

The role requires a BSN/MSN or ASN with plan to complete BSN/MSN within two years, IL RN licensure, and current CPR/BLS certification. Expect a collaborative, patient-centered environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program or accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (with commitment to complete BSN/MSN within 2 years).
Illinois license to practice as a registered nurse.
Current CPR or BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Understanding of growth and development from infant to geriatric.
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients, including specialized treatments, administering medications, and coordinating care.
Collect physiological, psychosocial, and functional data to inform nursing diagnoses.
Assist physician during examinations and treatments.
Formulate nursing diagnoses and integrate into written assessments.
Assess patients, establish priorities, and identify crisis situations when needed.
Implement and evaluate care plans, modify as indicated.
