Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate comprehensive patient care. You will educate patients and families, document care plans, and collaborate with the health care team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program and an IL RN license, plus CPR certification and strong communication skills in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Requires BSN/MSN or higher nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Illinois RN license to practice
• CPR certification is required
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic clinical environment and collaborate with teams

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for patients including specialized treatments and prescribed medications.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and prepare care plans.
• Assess patients, identify changes in status and establish priorities for care.
• Communicate with patients and families about care plans and home care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete reports on patient care plans.
