Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN seeks a Registered Nurse to administer direct and indirect patient care in ambulatory settings. You will lead Office Level 1 RNs, LPNs and Medical Assistants, coordinating care with physicians and the broader team to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Applicants must have an Indiana RN license (or endorsement), CPR on hire or within 60 days, and prefer at least six months in ambulatory care.

JOB SUMMARY

• Administers direct and indirect patient care in an ambulatory care setting. Addresses total comprehensive needs of patients and oversees the delivery of care to a large diverse patient population. The RN initiates appropriate nursing interventions and education in conjunction with the physician’s or professional healthcare provider’s comprehensive patient plan of care. Serves in a lead role for Office Level 1 RNs, LPNs and Medical Assistants and performs clinical supportive tasks to facilitate patient coordination of care and enhance work efficiencies for physicians and providers.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing (ADN, diploma, BSN)
• Licensure: RN Indiana license or licensed in another state having requested endorsement in Indiana. CPR certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days.
• Experience : A minimum of six months current experience in the ambulatory care setting is preferred. Experience in various clinical areas is preferred.
• May need to occasionally travel to other SJPN locations within the three-county area.
