Job summary

Ascension Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the ICU at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. This night-shift role offers a gross rate up to $3,545 per week and 36–48 hours per week. You titrate vasoactive meds, monitor invasively, and participate in life-saving interventions.

Requirements include RN license (compact or state), BLS/ACLS, diploma in nursing, and at least 1 year of acute care experience; onboarding includes NIH CPI and related training.

• Registered Nurse license required; compact license accepted depending on location.
• 1 year RN experience in acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Titrate high-alert vasoactive drips and manage invasive monitoring.
• Manage complex mechanical ventilation including weaning protocols.
• Operate life-sustaining equipment (CRRT, Impella, IABP) for multi-organ failure.
• Lead Rapid Response and Code Blue interventions using ACLS/BLS protocols.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Titrate high-alert vasoactive drips and manage invasive monitoring like arterial and central lines.
• Manage complex mechanical ventilation, including troubleshooting, ABG analysis, and weaning protocols.
• Operate life-sustaining equipment such as CRRT, Impella, and IABP for multi-organ failure.
• Lead Rapid Response and Code Blue interventions using expert-level ACLS/BLS protocols.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

• One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI (online portion) required for onboarding
