Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Northwest Hospital in Baltimore County seeks a compassionate ICU Step-Down Registered Nurse to provide direct, age-appropriate clinical care on a per-shift basis. You will assess and plan care, implement interventions to modify symptoms, and help lead a care team to improve patient outcomes.

Under the unit manager and CNO, you will supervise staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and contribute to resource management while upholding our CARE BRAVELY values.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland.
• Less than one year of nursing experience.

Job description

The ICU Step-Down unit at Northwest Hospital has 11 beds. Staff members in ICU Step-Down provide high-quality, compassionate, standardized, evidence-based critical care to patients and their families. Staff members in the ICU Step-Down are often work to clear obstacles for patients related to their care. ICU Step-Down staff members are outgoing and positive and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

Summary

Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
