Job summary

Northwest Hospital's Intensive Care unit seeks compassionate CNA/GNA staff to support bedside nursing under RNs and the healthcare team. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of nursing care and assisting with patient care plans to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities include basic patient care, safe use of equipment, and clear communication with patients and families in a fast-paced ICU environment. On-site, full-time positions with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• GNA / CNA Licensure; CPR card from AHA.

Job description

The Intensive Care unit at Northwest Hospital has 16 beds. Staff members in the ICU provide high-quality, compassionate, standardized, evidence-based critical care to patients and their families. Staff members in the ICU are often work to clear obstacles for patients related to their care. ICU staff members are outgoing and positive, and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

JOB SUMMARY

Functions under the supervision of the RN in a cooperative effort with the health care team to assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties. Maintains the standards of nursing care for all patients and implements the policies and procedures of the unit, Hospital and Nursing Department.

REQUIREMENTS

Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma or GED equivalent; 1-3 years of experience; Basic computer skills; Synquest; Medical terminology; Hoyer lift; Communication devices; Specialty beds; Automatic B/P cuff; GNA / CNA Licensure; CPR card from AHA.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $27.29 Based On Experience
