Job summary

Baptist Clay is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for Fulltime Nights to provide high-acuity patient care at our Clay location. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and will work within a mission-driven, collaborative team.

Responsibilities include implementing the nursing process, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families about their conditions and care plans. 1–2 years of cardiac/telemetry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: ASN required or BA/BS preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years in Cardiac and Telemetry.
• Licenses: BLS required; RN license required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Involve patients and families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and care plans.
• Serve as patient advocate and coordinate care for high-acuity patients.

• Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to critical patients that require a higher acuity of care

• Education/Degree Required: Associate of Science in Nursing Or Degree Preferred: Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
• Experience: 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred 1-2 years Telemetry Experience Hospital Experience
• Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred Licensed Registered Nurse Required
• Primary Location: Clay - Main Building
