Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse for an ICU 13-week contract.

The RN will provide high-level nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure patient-centered outcomes in a high-acuity setting. The role requires Oklahoma RN licensure, ADN with BSN preferred, and certification in BLS, with additional certifications (ALS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale) to be obtained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Oklahoma required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ALS, PALS and SECURE training within 6 months of employment.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care as caregiver, decision-maker, advocate, and educator.
• Assess patient nursing needs and implement the plan of care using the nursing process.
• Adhere to professional standards and promote dignity and quality of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• The RN has multiple roles and functions including caregiver, decision-maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher.
• The functions include assessment of the nursing needs of the patient, initiation of the plan of care of nurse action, implementation of the plan of care and the evaluation of the process, by use of the nursing process.
• The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.
• The RN promotes the dignity and quality of the nursing care given to the patient.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements

• Current RN licensure from the State of Oklahoma required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS required.
• ALS, PALS and SECURE (de-escalation) required within (six) 6 months of employment required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 3 months of employment
• Experience preferred.
