Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for ICU, full-time night shift. The role includes caregiving, decision-making, patient advocacy, coordination of care, and education within a high-acuity unit.

You will assess nursing needs, initiate and evaluate plans of care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes. Requirements include Oklahoma RN licensure, ADN with BSN preferred, BLS, and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure from Oklahoma required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS required; PALS/ALS within 6 months.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide care as caregiver, decision-maker, advocate, and educator.
• Assess nursing needs and initiate the plan of care.
• Implement and evaluate the care plan using nursing process.
• Promote dignity and quality of nursing care.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• The RN has multiple roles and functions including caregiver, decision-maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher.
• The functions include assessment of the nursing needs of the patient, initiation of the plan of care of nurse action, implementation of the plan of care and the evaluation of the process, by use of the nursing process.
• The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.
• The RN promotes the dignity and quality of the nursing care given to the patient.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

• Current RN licensure from the State of Oklahoma required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS required.
• ALS, PALS and TEAM (de-escalation) required within (six) 6 months of employment required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 3 months of employment
• Experience preferred.
